DINING AT THE OLD COURSE

ST ANDREWS GRILL HOUSE

THE ONE UNDER GASTRO PUB

WHERE TO EAT IN ST ANDREWS

The past fifteen years has seen a massive improvement in the standard variety if dining in the area with several award winning chef’s and restaurants. Please find a selection of our recommendations below.

THE RUSSELL HOTEL

A local favourite just 30 seconds from the guest house. Formal dining in the restaurant, that includes a private dining room for those larger groups looking for more privacy, and less formal in the bar area with its open log fire. The food is always of a constantly good standard and has served one of the best haggis, keeps & tatty dishes in the area for years.

You will find something for all tastes with an eclectic menu which ranges from Pittenweem crab to famous home made quarter pounder burger to genuine Italian sausage, with Umbian lentils, and an antipasto board to die for. A warm, relaxed and comfortable environment located below Rocca restaurant and the Rbar champagne bar and beside the 18th fairway of the famous Royal and Ancient golf course. This is a local gem.

ROCCA

A touch of class with this 5 star restaurant that overlooks the 18th fairway of the old course. The setting and presentation of the food, accompanied by the superb wines list is exceptional. Not the cheapest ticket in town but a real treat for the foodie.
